Tranquil Waterscape Designs
learns from the koi master - Dr. Koi!
Randy attended the
February 28, 2004 lecture and wet lab conducted by
Dr. Johnson. Topics included water quality, pond
conditions, and general health of fish. The
lecture and lab identified the parasites and viral
conditions that can exist in unhealthy fish. How
to identify these conditions and treat them, were
covered in detail. Randy hopes to use this knowledge as
they continue to retail koi and also provide a service
for their customers when fish health issues arise.

Tranquil Waterscape Designs
becomes the first Certified Aquascape Contractor in Middle
Tennessee!
Aquascape Designs, in an ever increasing effort to promote
naturally balanced, properly installed water features, has
recognized a select group of contractors as being certified
to represent Aquascape Designs. Specific criteria must
be met in order to be considered as a Certified Contractor
that includes completing required training, providing
customer references, installing a required number of ponds,
and agreeing to install only natural pond systems.
Additional requirements include agreeing to a code of ethics
regarding customer service and not recommending, using, and
promoting the use of chemicals and UV lights. If you

Pro-Pond
graduates!
Randy and Vicki Young recently graduated from the Pro-Pond
College held by Aquascape Designs in Chicago, Illinois.
Courses included pond designs, pump technology, fish health,
plant propagation, customer service, estimating, stream and
waterfall construction, seasonal pond care, new equipment
and technology, and sales training.
Part of the
training also included a tour of the corporate headquarters
for Aquascape Designs. Randy and Vicki also had the
opportunity to review the Aquascape Research and Development
ponds - a testimony to Aquascape Designs continued
commitment to the pond community. The training classes
were followed by the 10th annual Parade of Ponds - over 200
ponds were featured this year of every shape and size.
Randy and Vicki were able to review installations and
compare notes with Aquascape's best installers!
